Incident
Users located in Europe experiencing a degraded service
Issue summary:
On November 23, 2020 from around 2:02 a.m. to 2:20 a.m. PST, some users in Europe experienced their workspaces not updating in real-time, such as being unable to receive new messages automatically. Affected users would've seen a grey banner with a prompt to load new messages.
This issue was caused by a change we made that unintentionally increased the memory usage on some servers. We rolled back the change to resolve the issue.
Note: We've updated the times in this message, as this issue occurred during a different time frame than we initially thought.
5:05 PM PST
We are happy to report that customers should no longer be experiencing degraded performance. If you experience further issues please reach out to feedback@slack.com. Thanks again for bearing with us and sorry again for any interruption caused.

We continue to see some improvement but are not out of the woods just yet. We appreciate your continued patience and we'll report back with further news as soon as we have it.
6:27 AM PST
