On August 9th between 10:54 am PST and 11:55am PST, we received reports that users were unable to connect to Slack after a small change to the web application. This caused intermittent connectivity issues with users. The change was reverted and users are able to connect again. We’re investigating the root cause, as well as making plans to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future.

Between July 3rd at 11:00amPT and August 9th at 11:08pmPT, an issue with file authentication tokens prevented file uploads from our Slack exports from being imported successfully. Our engineers have deployed a fix to rectify the export issues — you may need to re-run exports and imports completed between July 3rd and August 9th to successfully view files. Our team is putting measures in place to ensure this does not happen in the future.
