Incident

Some people are unable to upload files to Slack.

Technical Summary:

On November 6th 2018 at 10:38 am PT, we began to receive reports that file uploads were failing in Slack for all customers.

A recent change in our code had an adverse affect on file uploads, causing uploads to fail for 2 hours and 14 minutes. Once our engineering team discovered the issue, they reverted the code, and full functionality was restored for all customers by 12:55 pm PT. We called an All Clear at 1:21 pm PT.

If you are still experiencing trouble please reach out to us at feedback@slack.com.
