On Jan 14th at 12:46 PM PST, a code change was made to how Slackbot fetches Help Center articles. Customers with locales set to Japanese failed to get proper responses in their DM with Slackbot. Instead, they were sent the generic error "何を言われたかわかりませんでした。ごめんなさい" ("I'm sorry, I don't understand!")
We deployed a fix for the issue at 2:00 PM PT on Jan 16th and restored Slackbot's functionality for all users.

We’re happy to say we’ve resolved the issue with Slackbot failing to respond to messages in Japanese. Thank you for your patience while we rolled out a fix for this.

We are investigating why Slackbot is not responding to messages in Japanese. Sorry for the trouble. We're working on it.

On January 15th at 12:00pm PT, a code change to improve error messages in Slack caused some users to experience difficulties editing and uploading custom emoji. At 6:00pm PT we identified the affected deploy, conducted an investigation and reverted the deploy, resulting in all users being able to successfully edit or upload custom emoji by 8:00pm PT.
We have implemented preventive measures to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future. If you are still having issues, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We've been given the all-clear! Everyone should be able to upload new custom emoji once more. We're so sorry for getting in the way of you and your shiny new emoji. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
8:01 PM PST
We're digging into why people are unable to upload new custom emoji. Apologies for the disruption.
