Incident

Trouble searching, mentioning, and messaging team members for some Grid customers

On August 16, 2019 at 5:25 a.m. PDT, we received a report that some Enterprise Grid users were unable to open a direct message, use the Quick Switcher or mention a team member in Slack. We identified that it was affecting a small number of customers who used the shared channels beta on their workspaces prior to migrating those workspaces to the same Enterprise Grid organization.

Due to a code change, we erroneously classified some users as being users from other external organizations. This is why those users could not be direct messaged or mentioned. We deployed a fix and by 12:17 p.m. PDT on August 21, 2019, the issue was fully resolved.
