On August 20, 2019, starting at 2:25 a.m. PDT, we began encountering issues with how we store some language-specific content in search. The issues caused some search queries to fail for some customers. To resolve the issue, we identified a problematic indexing process and restarted it. Search was fully recovered by 4:12 a.m. PDT.

While search is now returning results successfully, it is worth noting that new messages will not be shown in these results. We are continuing to work on improvements.
