The issues with direct messages falling off the sidebar should now be fully resolved by restarting your application. Note that any new direct messages will now stay in the sidebar as expected, but ones that have been closed will not reappear. If you're seeing any continued issues, please reach out to feedback@slack.com.

We're looking into some reports that folks are seeing their direct messages fall off their sidebar too quickly after sending a message. Our team is investigating, and we'll keep you up to date with any new information we find.
