We’re still investigating the issue with file previews, and we've identified that this is affecting some .docx and .xlsx files as well. We'll confirm as soon as previews are working as they should be. Thanks for bearing with us.

Some of our customers are currently having trouble previewing PDF files uploaded in Slack. We're currently investigating the cause, and we'll keep you posted as soon as we have more information. We're sorry for the disruption.

On January 29, 2020 from 3:19 a.m. PST, customers experienced several issues when using Slack. In particular, customers may have seen errors when sending messages in Slack or when visiting our Help Center. A spike in traffic caused an overload on one of our databases. We provisioned more backend servers and the traffic spike passed. The issue was resolved at 3:22 a.m. PST.
