Incident

Issues with Slack Calls

Issue Summary:

On March 10, 2020 at 1:49 p.m. until March 11, 2020 at 4:19 p.m. PDT, some customers began experiencing issues with Slack calls. In particular, affected customers may have been disconnected partway through a call. This was caused by an update that we made to one of our front-end libraries, and after we identified the issue and deployed a fix, affected customers were able to use calls without disconnections once again. We called the all clear on March 11, 2020 at 7:51 p.m. PDT.

9:03 PM PST

We’ve resolved an issue that was causing connectivity with the Calls feature for some users. Some users may need to refresh using "Shift-Command-R" (on Mac) or "Shift-Ctrl-R" (on Windows/Linux) to see normal functionality restored. This issue was not caused by increased traffic, and has no impact on our ability to scale our infrastructure. We apologize for the inconvenience.

5:37 PM PST

Some folks may be getting disconnected during calls in Slack. We are actively investigating this issue, and will be back once we have an update to share. We apologize for the inconvenience.
