Incident

Customers not receiving emails

Issue summary:

On March 27, 2020 around 12:30 p.m. PDT, we discovered some emails weren't being delivered to customers. Upon further investigation, we determined all emails weren't being delivered due to an issue an upstream provider encountered. The upstream provider resolved the issue, which resulted in new and delayed emails being delivered. We called the all clear at 2:34 p.m. PDT.

5:26 PM PST

We can confirm the issue has been resolved, and emails should be delivered as expected now. If you requested an email while the issue was ongoing, there likely was a delay in receiving that email. Please reach out to feedback@slack.com if you have any concerns.

2:58 PM PST

Emails from Slack should be coming through now, but there may be a delay in reaching your inbox. If you're waiting for a confirmation email, please request another one now. We're continuing to monitor the situation on our side. Thank you for your patience.

2:22 PM PST

Our upstream provider has encountered an issue that has affected our ability to send any outbound emails, not just confirmation emails. We’ll keep you up to date on any developments.

1:52 PM PST

We have received reports of customers not receiving any confirmation emails, which includes creating and joining workspaces as well as finding your workspace. Apologies for the disruption, we’ll provide new information as soon as it’s available.

1:19 PM PST

Some people may be having an issue with Slack. We’re currently investigating and will have more information shortly. Thank you for your patience.
