Connectivity issues for some customers in South Africa

Issue Summary:

On June 29, 2020 at approximately 3:20 a.m. PDT, we received reports that some customers in South Africa were experiencing issues with Slack. In particular, customers may have had trouble connecting to Slack and with loading profile information, profile photos and channels. We identified that the issue was with an upstream provider. Once the upstream provider resolved this issue, full functionality was restored. We called the all clear on June 30, 2020 at 9:55 a.m. PDT.
