Trouble with freezing in the desktop app

Issue summary:
On September 21, 2020 from 11:57 a.m. to 3:17 p.m. PDT, some customers may have experienced the Slack app freezing after switching channels.

A code change inadvertently introduced an issue whereby channel switching caused the Slack app to hang. We pushed out an update to correct the issue. Some customers may need to restart Slack to fetch the fix.

Thank you for bearing with us. We have confirmed that restarting the app will now resolve this issue without affecting your drafts. If you're still running into trouble, please quit Slack and restart it.

We spoke too soon, as a reload may not resolve the issue for everyone.

The issue can be resolved by going to Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Cache and Restart. Please note, drafts may be deleted when clearing cache.

If the Help menu is inaccessible, please reach out to feedback@slack.com for assistance with clearing cache.

If preferred, affected users can access Slack in a browser temporarily. We'll follow-up when the issue can be resolved without clearing cache.
