Failed audio on Slack calls

Issue summary:
On November 17, 2020 starting at 10:37 a.m. PST, some users were unable to send and receive audio when using Slack calls on desktop.

This issue was caused by a recent code change that we then reverted to resolve the issue. By 12:03 p.m. PST, all affected users were able to send and receive audio after reloading.

We've released a fix for Slack calls, and upon reload (Command/Control + R), audio should be working again. If you are experiencing any further trouble please reach out to feedback@slack.com. Thank you for bearing with us.

Some users may be experiencing failed audio with Slack calls on desktop. We're looking into it now. We appreciate your patience.

Note: We've updated this message to say desktop, as the issue wasn't only impacting the desktop app. Slack calls in Google Chrome were also impacted.
