On December 1, 2020 from approximately 9:10 a.m. to 9:44 a.m. PST, some users were unable to start Slack calls.
Upon investigation, we discovered that a recent code change unintentionally caused fatal errors in production when initiating a new call. Once the cause was identified, we immediately reverted the change, which resolved the issue.

Functionality is back to normal, and people should no longer have issues starting Slack calls. We’ll be back with a summary of the issue.
