Incident

Some Slack pages aren't loading in browser

Issue summary:
Starting on January 27, 2021 around 10:20 p.m. PST, some Slack pages weren't rendering as expected in browsers, such as slack.com.

We made a script change that resulted in the wrong paths being taken to fetch assets, such as images, for these pages. Therefore, the assets couldn't be fetched, and the pages couldn't load properly.

We reverted the script change, and around 11:11 p.m. PST, affected pages were loading as expected.

Note: We've updated this summary to reflect the change we made that resulted in this issue as well as when the problem was resolved.

3:29 AM PST

We had seen a display issue where slack.com wasn't loading properly. We've rolled out a fix, and things are back to normal.

Apologies for the disruption we caused, and thank you for your patience. We'll be following up with an issue summary within the next 24 hours.
