On February 26, 2021 from around 5:00 a.m. to 7:31 a.m. PST, customers who've enabled 2FA via SMS within Slack didn't receive 2FA codes when trying to login.
The problem was traced to one of our service providers who had declared an incident. Once they identified the issue and restored service, affected customers started receiving 2FA codes via SMS once again.

Customers affected by undelivered 2FA codes via SMS should no longer experience trouble, though they may receive backlogged 2FA requests from earlier today. New codes are expected to deliver normally. Thank you for your patience.

Our upstream provider is investigating the issue with undelivered 2FA codes via SMS and actively working on finding a solution. No additional information to share just yet, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we have an update.
