Some users unable to make use of group direct messages

Issue summary:
On March 22, 2021 from around 11:24 a.m. to 2:38 p.m. PDT, some users were unable to make use of one or more of their group direct messages (DMs).

This trouble, such as seeing a blank conversation or seeing an error message when attempting to star the conversation, was caused by a code change. We reverted the code change to prevent this from occurring with additional group DMs. We also corrected the trouble this caused for group DMs that were already impacted.

If the group DM still isn't working as expected, please refresh (Control/Command + Shift + R). If the group DM appears twice, please let us know at feedback@slack.com, and we'll send you steps to clear cache.

Note: We've updated the title, as this issue affected other group DM features beyond viewing the conversation.

Trouble connecting to Slack

Issue summary:
On March 22, 2021 from around 9:01 a.m. to 9:22 a.m. PDT, a small number of users encountered trouble in Slack, such as messages failing to send as well as being unable to connect altogether.

We discovered part of our infrastructure wasn't provisioned appropriately, so it experienced performance issues and was unable to handle all the traffic. We intervened to make the needed capacity changes in order to resolve the trouble.
