Some users are unable to update the Linux app

Issue summary:
On June 27, 2021, we began investigating an issue where users encountered an error when trying to update the Linux Slack application via the repository service we use.

We discovered a process issue on our side was preventing application updates through the repository service. We resolved the issue around 7:30 a.m. PDT on June 28, 2021.

Note: We've updated the title to better reflect the trouble affected users were encountering. We’ve also updated the previous messages to clarify affected users were unable to update.

We’ve resolved the issue with updating the app via the repository, and Slack is back to full functionality. We’re sorry for the disruption we brought to your day.

We’re still looking into the cause of users experiencing difficulties when updating the Linux app. No additional news to share just yet, but we’ll provide new information as soon as it’s available.

Slack is experiencing problems with our Linux packagecloud repository. This is preventing customers from updating the app via the repository. Our team is looking into it, and we’ll share more information shortly.
