Some customers may be seeing incorrect trial expiration notifications

Issue summary:
On July 15, 2021 around 11:22 a.m. to 10:25 p.m PDT, some customers on paid plans received erroneous notifications in Slack that their trials were expiring.

A change to these notifications meant that some customers were informed their trials were expiring, even though their workspaces weren't on trials. We reverted the change on July 15, 2021, but we were delayed with updating you about the fix. We appreciate your patience with us.

If you're seeing an unexpected trial expiration notification on desktop, please refresh by holding Control / Command + Shift + R. Feel free to reach out to feedback@slack.com for further assistance.

Note: We've added Workspace/Org Administration to the services affected.

5:24 PM PST

Incorrect notifications about trials expiring should no longer appear in Slack. We're sorry for the confusion, and we'll be back with a summary.

5:03 PM PST

Some customers on paid plans may be seeing incorrect trial expiration notifications. We're investigating, and we'll provide another update as soon as we have more information to share.

Delays with Events API requests

Issue summary:
On July 15, 2021 around 3:12 a.m. to 7:46 a.m. PDT, the memory usage in one of our data stores increased. This meant that the queue used for delivering events via the Events API was unable to accept new jobs.

During this period, approximately 10% of events were not delivered to third-party apps that rely on the Events API. To remedy this, we increased the operating capacity of the queue, reducing the memory usage to a manageable load.

8:01 PM PST

The issue causing delays with the Event API is now resolved. We apologise for any disruption that this may have caused.

7:59 AM PST

If you were seeing delays with the Event API, you should see that this is no longer affecting new requests. However, we're still working to get to the bottom of what happened and will keep you updated.

6:53 AM PST

We’re still investigating these delays, but we don’t have additional information just yet. We’ll be back in 30 minutes with another update.

6:23 AM PST

We're investigating issues with users and app developers experiencing delays with the Events API. We apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
