Trouble with "Slack for Gmail"
Issue summary:
From July 28, 2021 at around 3:23 a.m. PDT to August 2, 2021 at 1:47 p.m. PDT, customers may not have been able to access the 'Slack for Gmail' add-on. This was due to a discrepancy between how the add-on's latest version passed information to Slack compared to previous version iterations.
We worked jointly with the add-on's developers to resolve this issue.

Trouble with search
Issue summary:
On July 29, 2021 starting around 12:09 a.m. PDT, some users encountered a "Something went wrong" error when searching in Slack.
We discovered a recent enhancement to Japanese language search requests led to certain queries interacting poorly with relevance rankings. This resulted in errors in our server infrastructure, causing other search queries to fail.
We restarted servers to resolve the issue for all users by 1:53 a.m. PDT, and adjusted configurations in our search infrastructure to prevent recurrence.
While search functionality had been restored, a backlog of messages were not indexed during the incident. This resulted in some messages not being returned in search results until all messages were fully processed by 12:10 p.m. PDT.

Trouble with sending emails to Slack
Issue Summary:
From July 29, 2021 5:58 p.m. PDT until July 29, 2021 9:55 p.m. PDT, some customers experienced issues with sending emails to Slack.
We looked into this and found that this was due to a recent change which led to a rejection of the incoming email request. We fixed the issue and the emails were delivered again with our retry policy. We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused.
