Issue summary:
From July 28, 2021 at around 3:23 a.m. PDT to August 2, 2021 at 1:47 p.m. PDT, customers may not have been able to access the 'Slack for Gmail' add-on. This was due to a discrepancy between how the add-on's latest version passed information to Slack compared to previous version iterations.

We worked jointly with the add-on's developers to resolve this issue.

The issue with the "Slack for Gmail" add-on should now be resolved and users should see the Slack icon in their Gmail sidebar again. Please reach out to feedback@slack.com if you have further trouble.

Some customers may be experiencing issues with the "Slack for Gmail" add-on not being visible in Gmail. We're currently investigating and we'll provide another update as soon as we have more information to share.
