Incident

Issues with email delivery and account creation

Issue summary:
On August 25, 2021 from around 3:46 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PDT, some customers may not have received emails from Slack.

A planned change inadvertently caused issues with email delivery. This prevented some customers from receiving emails necessary for logging in to Slack or for creating new Slack accounts after being sent an invitation to a workspace.

We reverted the change, resolving the issue for all affected customers.

Note: We've updated the times above to more accurately reflect the duration of the issue.
