A small portion of users may be encountering slowness and sporadic errors

Issue summary:
On August 5, 2021 from 5:25 a.m. to 9:52 a.m. PDT, a small number of customers may have experienced intermittent slowness or errors in Slack.

A network event caused connectivity issues across part of our infrastructure. We worked to mitigate its effects as the system recovered, then verified that full functionality had been restored for all affected users.

Note: After further investigation, we've modified the times in this summary to more accurately reflect the duration of this issue.

Customers that saw issues with intermittent slowness or errors should no longer be having trouble, and we've confirmed Slack is back to normal. Sorry for the hassle while we sorted this out.

Intermittent slowness or errors may persist for a very small subset of users. The source of the issue has been identified and work continues towards a fix. We'll post updates here as we have them.
