Incident

Some customers being logged out of the mobile app

Issue summary:
On September 21, 2021 from 11:25 a.m. to 3:12 p.m. PDT, some users may have been logged out of the mobile app and prompted to sign in again.

A standard token rotation exposed a conflict in our infrastructure. The rotation process itself proceeded smoothly, but some parts of our software didn't handle the rotation as expected. This inadvertently caused authentication issues for some users.

We reverted the rotation, resolving the issue for all affected customers.

Note: We've updated the summary to more accurately reflect our understanding of the issue.
