Some customers may have trouble with logging into Slack.

Issue summary:
On November 4, 2021 from around 12:15 p.m. to 1:05 p.m. PDT, some customers may have experienced a sign in issue across multiple devices.

This was due to a recent change made to how session expiration is handled when signing in with an email confirmation code. This was not indexing correctly, resulting in an unexpected load on the system. We have deployed a fix, resolving the issue for all affected customers.

Customers affected by issues with signing into Slack should no longer be having trouble. We’ve rolled out a fix and have confirmed Slack is back to normal. Sorry for the hassle while we sorted this out.
