Some customers are having trouble accessing files

Issue summary:
On January 18, 2022 from 4:40 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. PST, a small number of users were not able to view PDF and Office files within Slack and saw a broken file icon instead.

This was the result of a recent code change that caused the files to fail to load.

We've released a fix for this and PDF and Office files are up and running once again. Apologies for the earlier trouble and thank you for your patience.

The issue has now been resolved. Please try reloading Slack by pressing Command/Control + Shift + R.

Some customers are having trouble viewing and accessing files within Slack. We're working hard to resolve the issue as soon as possible and will be back with an update once we have more information to share.
