Some customers may be experiencing issues with custom emoji reactions disappearing

Issue summary:
From December 1, 2022, 1:00 PM PST, to December 1, 2022, 6:30 PM PST, some of our users ran into an issue where custom emoji containing non-ASCII characters disappeared after being used as reactions.

A backend change to our emoji validation process caused some emojis with non-ASCII characters to be rejected.

Your emoji reactions should now be back to normal.
